Roger Federer -The Place Where The Magic Happens
Delpo what a player... what a fun player to watch <3
Look at the ball boys in the up right corner at 6:42 hahaha :D
Just passing through on my journey to watch every Federer match.
It was the best game/match that I've ever seen. From that day on, I knew that Nadal would be the one bests in a short time.
Marvelous nalbandian
Back when Murray was entertaining instead of just being Djokovic-lite
Best version of Murray by far. You can see the talent and power he can produce...miss this Andy
Give me that Murray backhand any day. Easy power.
Murray was actually more creative and confusing to play against while younger. For some reason he narrowed his style down to what it later became. If he kept this all around mix it up style, he still could have troubled the other 3, also he probably wouldn't have put all that strain on his body from the grinder/ defend/ counter style he reduced his play to.
The highlights are poor as fed wins most points in first set n aggasi takes the set...
"There is no where safe to hit the ball against Roger..." - Andre Agassi
Matches like these show the matchup issue really well. Fed's used this game so effectively against the rest of the field. But with a weak bh compared to now, there's no way he can dominate the exchanges with nadal. Imagine a 2017 fed against this nadal. The beatdown he would give nadal would be worse than IW2017. Similarly a 2004 fed with the game he had back then would lose even more easily to a 2017 nadal.
One of best games i watched.
この時のマレーさんイケメンですな
No one was able to dominate tennis like federer did. If federer had started winning little earlier he would have 25 plus slam now.
Now federer condition is same like Andre Agassi now
Yo Andre--stop hitting to Fed's forehand!
Murray played so offensive against nadal ..if he would have played like this he would have won more grand slams. .nadal was playing like a rabit, running so much. We will miss Andy
basura
Andy please continue
Why did Andy Murray not play like this in the final against Roger Federer????
Murray who saves life in Federer.
Andy Murray was always aggressive until around 2013 after his 2nd Grand Slam, when he had his back operation and he never became as aggressive after that until the end of 2016.
Wicked kick serve at 4:33 Has to be pretty damn special if you are going to cause Agassi to miss like that, since andre was arguably the best serve returner ever
I can’t believe young Murray served and volleyed. How times have changed...
Nadal should have beaten him and have won the U.S Open in 2008 2009 2010 2013@2017. Then I would have been Happy.
Huh... never saw this match.
I like this version of Murray. Balance of defence and attack. Not sure why he did not continue on this path, instead now he purely plays defence.
Agassi was badass. 'nuff said.
I remember watching this and thinking to myself “this guy is scary”, nadal is just so dominant when he’s at his best, nobody can beat him when he’s on
Fuzzy picture quality- (nice coloring).
What makes Andre such a legendary shotmaker is how early he takes the ball and robs time away from his opponents. It was so hard to find any rhythm it seems when playing against him. And then Roger upped the ante and started taking the shots really early himself.
You got to give him credits, the bitch Murray played out of his skin this match.
pretty sure he would fuck you up on the court and in the ring ahah he is hardly a bitch
Not a fan of excuses, but 2008 was tough for Nadal having won so many masters 1000, RG and Wimbledon back to back, then the olympics and finally the davis cup. He even skipped the world tour finals. It was one hell of a year, I tell you. However, Murray really played ouf of his normal abilities and deserved the final. Too bad he played terrible vs Federer.
Wow...you are a typical claytard. I see your comments everywhere on youtube, hating on Federer and all. "Not a fan of excuses" LOL
Chintan Parmar exactly.
Chintan Parmar and he’s also been proved wrong countless times by Djokovic/Federer fans.
NLLeFa wow masters 1000, RG and Wimbledon. He did it in 2010 and won the US Open and made the ATP Finals final. Yes of course there were no olympics in 2010 but he played fine in this match.
nadal was tired and his shots were all falling short into the midcourt, therefore giving murray easy opportunities to attack, that's why he looked more offensive than usual.
did u actually watch this?!?! his shots were hardly falling short, u cant blame this loss on anything but Murrays game
Samparas never won French open
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that if Murray played like this for his whole career, he would won at least doubled his current slam tally.
For sure.
GTS what do u mean courts got slower wtf
@@antoinemantoux6049 It's a sure thing that after 2008 all the courts did slow down. The French has of course always been slow. But the other three majors have become much slower in the last decade, encouraging baseline attrition rather than quick points.
GTS well that doesn’t justify the fact he could’ve been more agressive
Nadal just underperformed as he was really tired after a long season.
Yeah just skip the set that nadal wins
Then murray shits himself in the final... so typical
Federer's lucky nadal lost this match
Timothy Saunders no Federer would have beat him
LOL Federer was angry at this US open because of the shitty 2008 season he had. Would have beaten Rafa's ass if he had faced him in the final. Just look at the way he played against Djokovic and murray. Literally crushed every ball with that forehand. And here the courts were really faster, not like the crap we've got now. So nah..Nadal got lucky that he lost.
Timothy Saunders the same tale everytime that rafa gets kicked off tournament
@@chintanparmar2693 y
@@chintanparmar2693 Exactly. Federer looked possessed this tournament and played like a warrior with his long hair and wild emotion.
Nadal's drive was good, not to much top spin, like it was this Roland garros 2017,that's his best weapon
putain quel gâchis ce mec
p d il méritait mieux.
by looking at the quality of video, i can't tell if it's from 2004 or 1974...
I luv both theese players glad Andy got the win
seemed like a nice hand shake and good talks at the end, out of all the big four match ups this is probably the least talked about, its all about the fed/nadal and novak/andy
rafa thrashing roger since 2004
Murray when triggered is impossible to deal with ... I don't think ive seen nadal this helpless !!
Cus this was on a hard court! Nadal is a clay court specialist it's a bonus that he won on other courts as well.
Nadal reached no.1 in that year (2008), Murray reached no.1 in 2016.
Yeah, and Murray reached no.2 for the first time in 2009. Took him 7 years to reached no.1. And it seemed that Nadal was taking too long, from 2005 to 2008.
I can't believe Ancic lost to him... :/
werent the tv scorelines invented back then? fucking annoying to not the know the score
